We believe in a church community in which each person is a full participant and actor. We have different abilities and talents, skills and passions.  These come in function of our ages and our life stories.  In our worship celebrations and services we aim to have the people lead the people, for worship is not a spectator sport.  That's what the ancient word liturgy actually means "the work of the people."  And so we have regular training sessions for those who are interested in leading the people in worship, prayer and spiritual witness.

We’re seeking to use more technological tools to help maximize the participation of our congrgeation members in the leading of worship on Sunday mornings.

This includes:

  1. Reading the Responsive Call to Worship at the beginning of the service, as well as the scripture for the day.

  2. Leading the Prayers of the People time, and the prayer cards. This can be extemporaneous, and/or using a prepared or borrowed prayer text.

  3. Bringing flowers from your own garden to decorate the communion table. It’s a celebration of God’s good and great creation - and the sharing of God’s provision with each other.

If you're helping to lead a forthcoming worship service as a liturgist here are some downloadable resources to help.  If you have further questions, or haven't heard from the preacher of this week yet, contact Pastor Monte by [email].
